T.I. vs T.I.P. represents how the frustration and pain caused by the death of his friend and the pressures of fame are turning him into more of a gangster. This is shown by the use of an alter ego, Tip.
Tip is angrier and considers T.I. weak. T.I. the businessman and T.I.P. the unreformed hustler are two completely different entities, and that the strain of balancing the two personas is enough to tear T.I. apart.
