Extra Late is about living life on your own schedule, your time; not being held to societal standards of “You should be doing this by this age” or “You should own this or be married,” etc. Just finding yourself on your own time.

Extra Late is the anthem for anyone who’s ever been told, “You’re behind in life.” The album’s all about living life on your own terms, and The Good Sin rails against the “shoulds”: You should own a house by now; you should be married; you should have your life together. Extra Late is about “I’ll get there when I get there.”
