villainelle novella

P-Ro built the project around a poetry theme, drawing inspiration from a “villanelle”—a highly structured, 19-line rhyming poem. “On this project I explore a variety of different takes on structure, and the content is focused more on free form, stream of consciousness writing,” P-Ro said.

‘Dipping a little bit into obscure styles and themes of poetry. Paired with drumless beats I produced and blended into each other, so as to imply one long piece of melodic spoken word as opposed to traditional ‘songs’.”
