The first triple-album in Hip Hop history, each of American Hunger‘s records corresponds to a particular meal in the day (Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner). MF Grimm has stated once that the album is not intended to be listened to in one sitting, rather it is intended to be taken in over the course of three separate listening sessions, reflecting the names of each disc: “Breakfast,” “Lunch” and “Dinner. American Hunger uses these themes and is harsh in his assessment of American society and corrupt politicians.
