“The reason behind naming my upcoming album The Trauma Center. On October 14, 2022, I was released from Ryder Trauma Center in Miami, Florida, after surviving a near-fatal work accident. That accident left me a burn survivor and a limb-loss survivor. I spent 89 days in that hospital, and when I left, I was not the same person who had walked in. This album reflects that journey.”
“While crafting it, I underwent 25 surgeries and wrestled with emotions like helplessness, brokenness, hatred, loss, confusion, anger, depression, and fear. I even struggled with suicidal thoughts. But this project has become almost like therapy for me—letting me release all of those overwhelming feelings and thoughts in a way that felt, somehow, positive.” – Kendall Spencer
