Astronautalis

2016

Astronautalis, doing cliched Southern rap? Sike! Oh, wait, it turns out he’s only doing it to make a point about cliched Southern rap? Double sike! SIKE! is Astronautalis firing shots at Southern and everything that’s wrong with it – the culture, the kids coming up on it, the mediocrity, the lack of innovation or originality, the way that Southern has come to stylize and limit what Southern rappers can do, and what they can be.
