The Derelict Craft tells the story of a dissatisfied artist who enlists in a civilian space program for a solo mission to investigate reports of an abandoned extraterrestrial spacecraft floating adrift within our solar system.

However, before reaching his destination, he awakens from stasis sleep to the horrifying discovery that his own ship’s engines and communications have failed during the trip. Lost in space, he spends his time facing his mortality, examining the petty conflicts back home that drove him to this mission and slowly losing his mind.
