Life After Death
The Notorious B.I.G.
1997
In the prescient Life After Death, we’re given a mapped-out, fictionalized version of Biggie’s life from birth to suicide. It begins with Sean Combs pleading over the apparently comatose body of Big. It ends with Biggie imagining his life in the third person (“remember him? He pushed the champagne range”) and grimly toasting time’s momentum: “Death controls all.”
