One of the earlier, self-proclaimed “rapperas”, On and On is appropriately named because the narrative sort of rambles along, like an drunk uncle telling you a story that never seems to get to the point. 

The rhymes are simple and so are the beats, but that’s more so a product of the time, it being an early effort in a genre that didn’t have much depth just quite yet by 1988. It’s definitely worth checking out for any hip hop historian or concept album completionist.
