Dinner And A Movie kicks off The Coathanga Strangla Trilogy by Brotha Lynch Hung is about The Hang, a normal, everyday man who transforms into a serial killer at night and murders rappers. It begins in an interrogation room, where Kevin Mann is interrogated by two cops about four murders he is suspected of committing.

After a bit of arguing with cops, The Coathanga Strangla agrees to tell them what happened. The whole album is one big flashback and only last skit tells you about what happened to him after the interrogation.  The skits throughout the album tell of how the local police department is desperately trying to put a stop to the murders.
