B. Dolan is perhaps best known as one half of Epic Beard Man with Sage Francis. The Failure is B. Dolan’s debut album and a bold statement at that. 

Experimental, and much more slam poetry and spoken word over stark, minimalist beats than it is straight-up rap, The Failure is about the Last Man Alive in the world. As the album goes on he loses hope and slowly slips into insanity as he’s accompanied by his sarcastic robot sidekick Ben, dropping you into a bleak, post-apocalyptic landscape and then leaving you to fend for yourself.
